Star Wars & Harry Potter Actor Paul Grant Passes Away At 56

Actor Paul Grant has passed away at the age of 56 after being found having collapsed outside of King’s Cross station in north London on Thursday afternoon (16 March 2023). He was pronounced dead at 3.49 am on Monday (20 March 2023).

However, the cause of death has not been disclosed.

The late actor was best known for playing an Ewok in Star Wars Episode VI Return Of The Jedi and a goblin in Harry Potter And The Philosopher’s Stone. He also appeared as one of the Goblin Corps in 1986’s Labyrinth, as well as starred in movies such as 1985’s Legend and the 1988’s Willow.

In a statement (via The Guardian), his daughter, Sophie Jayne Grant, said:

“I’m heartbroken … No girl deserves their dad to be taken away … He was so well known and loved [for his work]. He’s gone too soon.”

Grant leaves behind his girlfriend Maria Dwyer, his two daughters and one son, as well as his stepchildren and grandchildren.

In a statement, Dwyer said:

“Paul was the love of my life. The funniest man I know. He made my life complete. Life is never going to be the same without him.”

The late actor’s stepdaughter Stacey has also set up a GoFundMe to help raise money for the funeral.
