People-Shepherding Puzzle Game Humanity Launches This May
Every dog has its day, and that day of saving humans is now.
Action-puzzle game Humanity, where you play as a Shiba Inu tasked to save mankind and shepherd hordes of them to a safe zone through platforms and mad obstacles, will be out for PS5, PS4, and PC on 16 May.
In Humanity, you control a glowing Shiba Inu, placing commands on the ground for a giant marching horde of people to follow. Make them turn, jump, float through the air, swim, climb, etc., all to reach the goal (or goals) in each stage. The game gradually introduces these mechanics and more, combining them with each other and new elements to ramp up the challenge the further you go.
The game’s creators are Yugo Nakamura of tha.jp fame and Tetsuya “Rez” Mizuguchi, so you know this puzzle game is all shades of unique and crazy. There are some VR head-tracking capabilities in-game, but that’s all optional. To celebrate the insanity, the release date announcement video came chock-filled with gaming advertisements of the PS1 and PS2 era; the kind that’s just straight-up bonkers even in its native country.
