The Internet Is In Love With Elephant Mario

This evening’s Nintendo Direct for June 2023 hosted a ton of awesome surprises: a Super Mario RPG remake, a Star Ocean 2 remake, and a new 2D Mario game with multiplayer. But perhaps the best surprise is the new powerup in the latter title, Super Mario Bros. Wonder, that took the world by storm.

We’re referring to the Elephant power-up that turns Mario into this:

There’s clearly a benefit to being an elephant in the power-induced world of the Mushroom Kingdom. This particular power-up turns Mario (and presumably the rest of the cast) in to an actual elephant. One that has an extra large overalls, hat, and mustache at the ready.
