Sonic Superstars Release Date Leaked By Retailers

During Summer Game Fest 2023, Sega unveiled Sonic Superstars for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch and PC with a release window of fall 2023. During yesterday’s Sonic Central live stream, no release date was officially unveiled but recently, multiple retailer listings have leaked a potential release date for the upcoming game, which is on 17 October 2023.

What’s interesting about this leaked release date is that it’s only several days before the 20 October 2023 release date of Nintendo’s Super Mario Bros. Wonder. Perhaps the reason why Sega has yet to reveal a release date for Sonic Superstars is because they might want to move it farther away from direct competition. Take it all with a grain of salt for now while we wait for official confirmation from Sega.

In Sonic Superstars, players will adventure through the mystical Northstar Islands in an all-new take on classic 2D Sonic high-speed action platforming. They will play as Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy Rose and harness all-new Emerald powers to move and attack in dynamic new ways. Players will navigate gorgeous, never-before-seen environments solo or with up to three other players and stop Dr. Eggman, Fang, and a mysterious new adversary from converting the islands’ giant animals into Badniks.
