Mortal Kombat 1 Lin Kuei Trailer Features Playable Smoke & Rain

The latest NetherRealm Studios livestream made a bunch of new reveals for the upcoming 2D fighting game Mortal Kombat 1.

The recent livestream showed off new ninja stars: Smoke and Rain. The two Mortal Kombat veterans will be playable in Mortal Kombat 1. In addition, robot ninjas Cyrax and Sektor, and female ice ninja Frost are revealed as new Kameo Fighters in the Kameo roster.

Smoke is clad in grey garments & still has his trademark smoke attacks (along with a bunch of ninja knives), but Rain looks like a completely different character. He now uses a magic staff to dish out his water moves; water-bending, if you will.

Kameo Fighter Cyrax has sawblades coming out of his chest and also explodes as a timed move, while Sektor has his patented teleport uppercut and rockets. Frost has ice moves as fast assists. You can check out all that and more in the new trailer below, along with one of Smoke’s Fatalities.

Mortal Kombat 1 will be out on 19 September for PC, Xbox Series, and PlayStation 5.
