Nier Producer Will Keep Series Alive As Long As Yoko Taro Is Alive

“Moonface” developer Yoko Taro has assured fans everywhere that the Nier series will keep on trucking.

According to a G-Star presentation from Taro (via 4Gamer.net), the series would continue as long as Yoko Taro is alive and kicking. Despite the promise, he and producer Yosuke Saito have nothing concrete to share at the moment.

The talk is focused on the development of Nier: Automata with anecdotes like the game’s character art (targeting a Japanese audience), as well as the competitive and complementary demands of a game’s producer versus a creative lead (Taro vs Saito).

Nier: Automata is out right now for PC and consoles. It’s one of the past generation’s best action RPG titles with a heavy emphasis on plot and the theme of what it means to be human when you’re anything but.
