[Rumour] Microsoft Plans To Release Starfield On PS5
It looks like Microsoft might be allegedly planning to launch Starfield on the PS5 later this year.
According to a report from XboxEra, their sources claim that Microsoft will release Starfield for the PS5 after the launch of the upcoming Starfield Shatter Space expansion that’s coming to the Xbox Series X/S and PC. The expansion for the open-world RPG is reportedly slated for release sometime later in 2024.
This decision has reportedly been made because the senior leadership at Microsoft have discussed the pros and cons of releasing exclusive games on other platforms in order to gain maximum profits from potential sales on those other platforms. The same source claims that Hi-Fi Rush is slated to release on other platforms like the PS5 sometime in Q1 2024 and that we should expect official announcements of Xbox’s new multi-platform strategy later this month in February 2024.
For now, we’ll have to take all this with a grain of salt for now. Microsoft, Xbox and Bethesda have yet to officially confirm or deny the rumours at the time of writing.
