Stellar Blade Main Character Will Have 20 To 30 Costumes

Shift Up CEO and Stellar Blade director Kim Hyung Tae has shared new information about the upcoming PlayStation 5-exclusive action RPG title Stellar Blade (via Famitsu).

He said the reason Stellar Blade is a PlayStation 5 exclusive is because the console would deliver the most optimal gameplay experience, utilizing the fast loading of the SSD. He also admitted to Stellar Blade being hugely influenced by Nier Automata, alongside other titles like Bayonetta, Sekiro, and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.

Game flow-wise, Stellar Blade will be a mix of linear and semi-non-linear level progression. The game will go from linear gameplay to another semi-open world section, and so forth, being as seamless as possible. The game won’t be stage-based and is purely single-player focused. The game is a type of action title with a “robust sense of strategic enjoyment”.

Now for the best part: main character Eve will feature a good variety of costumes she can get in the game’s village hub.

“Costumes have no close connection to the story, but were included as an element that aims to bring out the character’s charm. Eve has about 20 to 30 costumes. Like Eve, costumes for (her companions) Adam and Lily are also being prepared. There are some rare costumes as well, so I hope players look forward to them.”

There you have it: Eve will have 20 to 30 costumes to wear and show off during and outside of combat. Stellar Blade will be out for PlayStation 5 exclusively on 26 April.
