Dead Island 2 Gets Steam Release Date; Dead Island Riptide Is Currently Free
Publisher Deep Silver and developer Dambuster Studios have confirmed that Dead Island 2 will be released on Steam on 22 April 2024. This marks the return of the popular zombie-survival game after it was previously exclusive to Epic Games Store for about a year.

Alongside the announcement, Dead Island: Riptide Definitive Edition is currently free to download and keep on your Steam library, this offer stands until 15 February 2024. Meanwhile, Dead Island Definitive Edition and Dead Island: Retro Revenge are currently receiving discounts on Steam. Dead Island Definitive Edition is marked down by 85%, while Dead Island: Retro Revenge is at a 75% discount.
Despite its troubled development, Dead Island 2 managed to exceed expectations upon its release. The game sold an impressive one million copies within a mere three days, showcasing its strong appeal to gamers worldwide. Within its first month on the market, Dead Island 2 continued to gain momentum, reaching an astonishing two million copies sold.
