Open World Anime Game Sand Land Demo Is Out Now

Publisher Bandai Namco and developer ILCA have revealed that the highly anticipated action-adventure open-world title Sand Land is now accessible as a playable demo on consoles and PC.

The demo enables players to experience thrilling vehicle action and exploration within a partial area of the SAND LAND map. Additionally, players have the option to control three characters: Beelzebub, Rao, and Thief. The demo provides an opportunity to familiarize oneself with the Battle Tank, Battle Armor, and Motorbike gameplay. While the progress made in the demo cannot be transferred to the full game, participating will grant players certain bonus items that can enhance their vehicle customization capabilities in the full game.

Sand Land, a manga created by the legendary Akira Toriyama, passed away earlier this month, originally ran from 22 May to 28 August 2000. This intriguing story is set in a desert world where both humans and demons suffer from a severe water shortage. Beelzebub, the prince of demons, and Rao, a small-town sheriff, form an unlikely tag team and embark on an adventure to find the enigmatic Phantom Lake, rumoured to be hidden somewhere in the vast desert.

Sand Land is due out for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam on 25 April in Japan, and 26 April worldwide.
