Persona 5: The Phantom X Reportedly To Launch Worldwide
SEGA, the publisher of the popular video game Persona 5 is considering launching the mobile spin-off, Persona 5: The Phantom X, in Japan and worldwide with a global version. The company mentioned in their latest financial report that “future expansion in Japan and globally is under consideration”.
The game was launched on 12 April 2024 in China and on 18 April 2024 in Taiwan and South Korea. It follows a protagonist who leads a double life, attending school during the day (this time at the Kiba Academy) and patrolling the metaverse at night to find new personas and enemies. Characters from the original series, such as Joker, will also appear in Persona 5: The Phantom X as party members, along with a new protagonist and party members.
The report did not reveal how well Persona 5: The Phantom X has performed in those regions thus far, simply stating that the results are “as expected”.
