The Next Game From The Paradise Killer Makers Involves Mascots & The Mafia; Still Weird As Heck

Kaizen Game Works, the folks behind the unique first-person detective adventure game Paradise Killer, is back with another equally-unique and weird adventure game in the works.

The company is working on a title named Promise Mascot Agency, and even after watching the deep dive gameplay trailer, it still defies a lot of descriptions & conventions. Basically, you play a brooding hero named Michizane “Michi” Sugawara and go on a road trip into Japan’s underworld with your assistant Pinky (as in a pinky finger), who is the titular mascot with googly eyes and all.

You manage a mascot talent agency in a backwater town to help repay a huge debt to the yakuza family you were exiled from. You recruit mascots, send them to jobs, and even help them pull them off if they’re stuck in a bind (like if one mascot gets stuck on a door). You can even recruit townfolks and other heroes to either help out mascots through the power of hero cards or sell mascot items and merchandise.

The other kicker? The town has a curse that hunts down yakuza members. And yes, the trailer is narrated by Lorraine Ansell, the voice of Lady Love Dies from Paradise Killer.

Promise Mascot Agency will be out for PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch platforms and consoles in 2025.
