Here Are The Latest PS4 Games Announced From PlayStation’s First-Ever State of Play Video
PlayStation just finished streaming its first-ever State of Play video feature, which is basically a PlayStation version of those Nintendo Direct features. Only with no CEO or Shuhei Yoshida doing the game intros, so I’m not really sure what they’re going for here.
While the chat is currently crucifying PlayStation for a “lame showing”, let’s not forget that this is their first time embracing this new form of broadcasting. So cut them some slack.
With that said, here are the new games they announced.
Iron Man VR

This PSVR game lets you fly in an Iron Man suit and shoot things. It’s also developed by Camoflaj, the folks behind the unique adventure game Republique.
ReadySet Heroes

A fast-paced action RPG where you teleport into random dungeons and team up with anthropomorphic monster slayers. Here’s the kicker: after you’ve completed the dungeon, you have to fight against another team of adventurers arena brawl style to win the game. Looks fun for the kids.
Five Nights At Freddy’s

The long-running horror series is getting the VR treatment. Woohoo, I guess? Unless you’re a Twitch streamer as entertaining as Markiplier, this shouldn’t interest you in the slightest.
Aaaand that’s about it. Everything else is just updates & obligatory reminders on what’s already announced eons ago: Crash Team Racing Nitro Fueled, No Man’s Sky, VR game Blood & Truth, indie game Concrete getting a Fall 2019 release, Days Gone, and Mortal Kombat 11. At least the latter is new: Jax, Liu Kang, and Kung Lao are confirmed characters in the roster.
At this point in time, the first episode is getting more dislikes than likes. Guess some publishers need to read the room and not expect people to jump for joy at VR game news, eh?
