Cobra Kai Season 6 Part 3 Review: A Perfect Ending That Comes Full Circle
Part 3 of the sixth and final season of Cobra Kai has arrived, concluding this Karate Kid spinoff and legacy sequel series that began all the way back in 2018. Is it the ending that the series deserves? Read on to find out.
Final Fight

It’s not an exaggeration to say that Cobra Kai Season 6 Part 3 is the perfect conclusion for every character in the series. In the span of only five episodes, the series provides a satisfying, cathartic and emotional closure for all the major characters, especially so for William Zabka’s Johnny Lawrence and Xolo Mariduena’s Miguel Diaz. After all the drama and fights, it’s easy to forget that they are supposed to be the main protagonists of the series and the way that Cobra Kai ends goes back to where it all began in a way that comes full circle in a way that respects their journey and how far they have come. At the end of the day, the title of the series is Cobra Kai and not Miyagi-Do, and that’s reflected in this ending. That being said, the series doesn’t forget about the other major characters as well, such as Ralph Macchio’s Daniel LaRusso.

After all the setup and escalation of the first ten episodes in Cobra Kai Season 6, Part 3 features all the dramatic payoff that we could ask for from this series and it all builds to an oh-so-gratifying crescendo. Cobra Kai has always been best during these adrenaline-pumping and epic ‘tournament arcs’, and this season features some of the best moments and fight choreography in the entire series to date. There is no more pointless filler or soap opera shenanigans in this one and even that lingering sub-plot of Mr. Miyagi’s past gets somewhat resolved. It’s incredible how Cobra Kai has grown from being a series on the now-defunct YouTube Red/Premium to becoming one of the best and most bingeable current shows on any streaming platform.
Karate Kid Next-Gen

Many long-running TV series often falter or stumble at the very end, but the emotional highs and climax of Cobra Kai Season 6 Part 3 offer a fulfilling ending that will satisfy viewers. Simply put, it sticks the landing. As far as I’m concerned, or any other upcoming Karate Kid movies for that matter, this is the definitive ending for the franchise. This is a legacy sequel done right. Cobra Kai never dies.
FINAL SCORE: 90/100
All six seasons of Cobra Kai are now streaming on Netflix Malaysia.
