Nintendo Direct March 2025: All The New & Awesome Games Announced
Nintendo’s final Nintendo Switch-themed Direct livestream (since the Switch 2 is taking over) has aired tonight, and it’s going out on a bang and a high note. Here are the big games announced during the showcase.
Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake
The full-on remake of Dragon Quest I and Dragon Quest II are combined in this twofer JRPG experience. The classic will make a return in 2025.
No Sleep For Kaname Date – From AI: The Somnium Files
A new entry in the AI: The Somnium Files adventure game series. Out on 25 July 2025.
Raidou Remastered: The Mystery Of The Soulless Army
Raidou Kuzunoha’s back in this remastered version of Devil Summoner: Raidou Kuzunoha VS The Soulless Army. Set in 30s Japan, you play a devil summoner who has to help out his detective agency buddies to solve the Soulless Army mystery. Also, you get to fight Rasputin who is some lounging around in Japan.
Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army is out on 19 June for Nintendo Switch, as well as for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series, and PC. The remaster will contain all-new voice acting and new demons like SMTV’s Idun for Raidou to summon.
Shadow Labyrinth
From the Amazon Prime Secret Level episode comes this new 2D action platformer take on Pac Man. Out on 18 July.
Patapon 1+2 Replay
The PlayStation Portable rhythm game with the one-eyed black creature army is back in a two-for-one remastered collection. Out on 11 July.
Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar
The real Harvest Moon from the real developers, this new farm simulation is the next entry in the Story of Seasons series. This one has a theme of a bazaar and outdoor markets.
The game is out on 27 August.
Disney Villain Cursed Cafe
Run a cafe featuring Disney villains like Ursula, Gaston and Jafar in visual novel style. Out later today.
Metroid Prime 4: Beyond
The first-person search action shooter series is hitting its fourth entry, and it’s looking very sweet. Apart from being in a new planet with new aliens and space pirates to kill, Samus gets Psychic Abilities; telekinesis, force powers, what-have-you to fight and solve puzzles with. Also, Samus gets a new red suit.
The game is coming out in 2025, and will most likely be retrofitted for Nintendo Switch 2, just like with all the games here.
Witchbrook

Gradius Origins
A collection of old Gradius shooters from Konami. These include Gradius 2, Gradius 3, Salamander 2. This collection also has a new game called Salamander 3. Out 7th August.
Rift of the Necrodancer
One of 2025’s best rhythm games is making its way onto Nintendo Switch. It’s out right now.
Tamagotchi Plaza
The next entry in the beloved shop simulator “Tamagotchi Connection: Corner Shop” series invites you into a whimsical world of Wonder Shops with over 100 Tamagotchi to play with. As your shop’s reputation grows, new Tamagotchi will visit including a new original character. Make your shop thrive and turn the town into a bustling place! Out on 27 June.
Pokemon Legends ZA
This new action adventure POkemon game takes place in Lumiose City, the setting in Pokemon X and Y. By day, you do quests and catch Pokemon. At night, you’ll get bombarded by trainers with their own Pokemon in a Z-A Battle Royale nighttime nonsense. The game will be out in Late 2025 for Nintendo Switch and Switch 2.
Rhythm Heaven Groove
The Rhythm Heaven series is making a comeback on Nintendo Switch. Featuring more minigames and rhythm exercises than you can shake a stick at. Game’s out in 2026, so it’s a long wait.
Saga Frontier 2 Remastered
The missing SaGa game from the PlayStation 1 days is coming back in remastered form, along with new events added onto the original title. Out later today.
Everybody’s Golf Hot Shots
The former PlayStation-exclusive golf game is now on Nintendo consoles. Features a slew of selectable golfers from the past games, tournaments and online play, and minigames. Out in 2025.
Marvel Cosmic Invasion
The same devs who brought you Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge is back to making beat-em-ups using the Marvel license. Play as characters like Wolverine, Venom, Nova, Captain America, Storm, Quasar/Mar-Vell, and Spider-Man as they beat their way through multitudes of bad guys and enemies like AIM scientists and rogue mutants, all summoned by big bad Annihilus. And there’s 4-player co-op. Out later in 2025.
Tomodachi Life: Living The Dream
For the first time in 10 years, a new game in the Tomodachi Life series is on the way! Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream is coming to Nintendo Switch in 2026!
Virtual Game Card
A new Nintendo Switch feature that lets you manage your digital Nintendo Switch games, including lending to your Nintendo Account Family Group members. The update will release in late April.
It’s a short but sweet Nintendo Direct filled with potential bangers like Rhythm Heaven Groove, the Raidou Kuzunoha remaster, Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, and Marvel Cosmic Invasion. As for the big guns, we’ll have to wait until the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct in early April.
