Malaysia’s First Big Umamusume Gathering At A Major Horse Racing Track Was Umazing
Ever since the global English version of hit horse girl racing simulator Umamusume: Pretty Derby launched this June for PC and mobile devices, there’s been a huge influx of fans talking about the game. From their favourite anime horse girls to fan art to the eventual internet memes, it’s safe to say the global version is one of 2025’s biggest hit titles that’s free-to-play.
Southeast Asia took it a step further, with Indonesia and Thailand hosting their own Umamusume gatherings at their respective country’s gatherings featuring fans and cosplayers alike. On 31st August 2025, it’s Malaysia’s turn. Fitting too, as Malaysia’s premier horse track, the Selangor Turf Club, hosted the Merdeka Cup 2025 horse race (and other subsequent cups) on the country’s independence day.
