Type-Moon Opens New Game Studio Led By Former Fate/Extra Producer

Just about a week ago, the director of the Dragon Quest Builders series and former producer of Fate/Extra Kazuya Nino announced that he has left Square Enix after seven years of working for the company. His departure occurred just a month after the release of Dragon Quest Builders 2.

A recent announcement from Type-Moon has confirmed that he is currently working at a new game studio called Type-Moon Studio BB.

type moon studio bbThrough a message on the the new studio’s official website, Kazuya expressed that he’s excited to work with many creators and publishers including Type-Moon co-founders Kinoko Nasu and Takashi Takeuchi to “deliver the charm of the Type-Moon world to everyone in a wide variety of games”.

In the same message, he also outlined what kind of games everyone can expect the studio to be working on.

“Studio BB’s development policy is based on two pillars: medium to large-scale 3D games developed in cooperation with external developers and small 2D games developed in-house.”

Type-Moon Studio BB is currently looking to recruit more staff members and they specifically need programmers, art designers, game designers, and a project manager.
