Nintendo has announced a special edition Animal Crossing-themed Nintendo Switch. It will be releasing on 13 March 2020, just one week before the highly-anticipated launch of Animal Crossing: New Horizons on 20 March 2020 (which will be sold separately from the Animal Crossing-themed Nintendo Switch.

The special edition Animal Crossing-themed Nintendo Switch will cost US$299.99, or roughly RM1229+. Inspired by the upcoming game, it comes with lovely pastel green and blue Joy-Con controllers that are white on the back with white wrist straps and a white Nintendo Switch dock, as well as adorned with images of iconic Animal Crossing characters; Tom Nook, Nooklings Timmy and Tommy.

In addition, a Nintendo Switch Animal Crossing: New Horizons Aloha Edition Carrying Case & Screen Protector and the Nintendo Switch Lite Animal Crossing: New Horizons Aloha Edition Carrying Case & Screen Protector will also be sold starting from 13 March 2020.

In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, players embark on the special Nook Inc. Deserted Island Getaway Package and are whisked away to an island paradise. There, players can decorate their home, customize their look or share the experience with friends. It marks the debut of the Animal Crossing franchise on Nintendo Switch while introducing new features like crafting, pole-vaulting across rivers and so much more.
