You’ll Need To Use Two Factor Authentication For Free Epic Games Store Titles…
Epic Games recently announced that you’ll need to use two factor authentication to claim free games on the platform. This mandate starts now and will last until 21st May.
The requirement is to encourage users to activate it voluntarily. Here’s the official word:
“We are making this change in an effort to encourage our players to take steps to strengthen their Epic account security. We understand that this is a minor inconvenience for some, but we want to provide the best possible solutions to protect your Epic account.”
As fans of having extra security around, especially at a point in time where everything has to be done online and digitally, this is a good idea. It’s only going to cost you a bit more of your time and you’ll need to bring in your smartphone, but it may help save your privacy.
Speaking of free games, you can get For The King, Amnesia: The Dark Descent, and Crashlands for free right now on Epic Games.
