Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Gameplay Footage Leaked

The Ubisoft Forward live stream will be taking place on 13 July at 3am GMT+8 next week, but over 30 minutes of gameplay footage from the highly-anticipated Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has been leaked by users on ResetEra.

The leaked gameplay footage of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla seems to be based on an early build of the game, clearly unpolished. It starts off with some hunting gameplay before the player (in the role of the female version of protagonist Eivor) goes on a mission to raid an East Anglian fortress.

From the looks of it, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla still looks very much inspired by its predecessors, 2018’s Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and 2017’s Assassin’s Creed Origins. The combat and general animations look similar, though that could perhaps be chalked off to the fact that this is an early version of the game.

What I can say is that the skill tree in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla looks a lot more complicated and features more branching paths, which could indicate the heavier and deeper emphasis on RPG elements.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is slated to release sometime in Holiday 2020 for the PS5, Xbox Series X, PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Google Stadia. In the meantime, head on over here to check out everything we know about the upcoming game so far, or watch the leaked gameplay footage below.
