Disney Plus’ WandaVision Gets Bizarre First Trailer
By Alleef Ashaari|September 21, 2020|0 Comment
Disney Plus has revealed the first official trailer for their upcoming WandaVision, which will be the first Marvel Cinematic Universe TV series o debut on the streaming service.
WandaVision reunites Wanda Maximoff AKA the Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany). The show will take place after the events of 2019’s Avengers Endgame, so it’s possible that it will be inspired by the House Of M events from the comics, in which Wanda warps reality.
The trailer teases Wanda and Vision living in what looks like a 1950s sitcom, where they are living the roles of a husband and wife. There is even a scene where it’s clear that Wanda is warping reality around her.
During the trailer, we also see people flying through portals and the authorities getting involved, as well as another shot of both the Scarlet Witch and Vision in their comics-accurate costumes.
The events of WandaVision will apparently set up and lead into the upcoming Doctor Strange And The Multiverse Of Madness (which will feature Elizabeth Olsen’s Wanda Maximoff in a co-starring role).
We also get a glimpse of an older Monica Rambeau played by Teyonah Parris. She was last seen as the daughter of Lashana Lynch’s Maria Rambeau, Carol Danvers AKA Captain Marvel’s best friend.
The cast also includes Kat Dennings reprising her role of Darcy Lewis from the Thor movies, and Randall Park as Jimmy Woo, who appeared as an FBI agent in Ant-Man And The Wasp.
WandaVision still doesn’t have a release date, but according to a recent September announcement from Disney, the series will premiere before the end of 2020.
