[Rumour] Resident Evil Revelations 3 Is In Development For The Nintendo Switch

We’re getting Resident Evil Village later this year, but that hasn’t stopped the rumour mill from continuing to spin. The latest rumour is from the Dusk Golem, the same guy that predicted Resident Evil Village back in early 2020, so there might be some truth to what he’s now saying.

According to his latest tweets, a new Resident Evil game is in development for the Nintendo Switch, and it was originally Resident Evil Revelations 3 before apparently being retitled to Resident Evil Outrage. It is slated to be a timed exclusive for the Nintendo Switch before getting released on other platforms like presumably the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.

He also claims that Resident Evil Outrage has a bigger budget than either 2012’s Resident Evil Revelations or 2015’s Resident Evil Revelations 2. It’s supposedly been in development in the past four years and has a budget closer to Resident Evil Village, as well as being closer to the size and scale of 2000’s Resident Evil Code Veronica.

What’s interesting is that there was also a Resident Evil Outrage game slated for release in Q4 2021 listed in the controversial Capcom leaks in late 2020. Capcom did tease more to come to celebrate the franchise’s 25th anniversary this year in 2021, so Resident Evil Outrage might be just that. However, none of this has been officially confirmed, so take everything with a pinch of salt.
