Line War is an Indie RTS Focused On The Big Picture, And It’s Freaking Cool!

Generals don’t control individual units on the battlefield. They command an entire battlefield with a single command. This idea of a macro RTS has been attempted before with mixed results. Line War from Swedish indie outfit, Studio Centurion is the latest of the big picture RTS.

Line War touts itself as a ‘new’ RTS. Not one that’s just contented to rehash the same old formula in the pursuit to fulfil some nostalgic aspiration. The main thing with Line War is the way you control your units… or units. Just by drawing a line you instruct them where to go, and set up a frontline.
