Overwatch League: Playoff Hunt Explained
Freefalling Uprising Have Favorable Matches Remaining
It’s squeaky bum time for the Boston Uprising (22-14) who are on a downward spiral. After finishing Stage 3 with a 10-0 record, they haven’t won a league game since – their last coming in over a month ago. Going into Thursday’s match on a six game losing streak, they face another team very much in the playoff hunt on Thursday – Seoul Dynasty (21-15) with a similar map diff. A loss to the Dynasty will see the Uprising lose their fourth place and possibly any chance of a playoff. On the bright side, they have the Mayhem and Dragons lined up and assuming that’s two wins in the bag, have their playoff spot locked in.

Dynasty’s Fate In Their Hands
After starting Stage 4 with four losses, the Koreans seem to have rediscovered their groove with two wins in Week 3. While those wins were only against the likes of Mayhem and Dragons, the Dynasty’s playoff push is somewhat back on track and have a real chance of improving their chances starting with a wins over the Uprising and Fusion this week.
They have two tricky games against the Fuel and Gladiators next week so securing two wins in week 4 would be crucial.
