Rockstar Games Working on Fixing Red Dead Redemption 2 Bugs
By Alleef Ashaari|November 7, 2018|0 Comment
Rockstar Games has revealed that it’s working on an upcoming Red Dead Redemption 2 Title Update that will be addressing at least one confirmed bug.
Since the game launched on October 26, gamers who have reached Chapter 2 or 3 in Red Dead Redemption 2 have complained of some vital companions disappearing from camp. Missing gang members include John Marston, Abigail, Sadie, and little Jack. This meant that players would lose out on interacting with these characters in the camp for entire chapters.
In an answer to a bug report on its Rockstar Support page, the developer acknowledged the missing gang members bug and is “currently working on a fix to be included in an upcoming Title Update.”
It’s good to finally receive official feedback from Rockstar after almost two weeks playing the game in its current state. There’s definitely some severely crippling bugs and glitches that need to to be addressed by the developer.
I encountered several bugs in RDR2 myself, where my Arthur had hollow eyes and mouth, as well as missing (invisible) limbs and hair that doesn’t grow. Although these don’t exactly sound game-breaking, they break immersion for a game that strives so hard for realism. This also somewhat affected my scores for the game in my recent Red Dead Redemption 2 review, which you can check out here.
As of now, Rockstar has not revealed a release date or window for when the upcoming Red Dead Redemption 2 Title Update might be arriving. Let’s hope it comes out soon. Seeing my Arthur like this (see below) every single time I boot up the game is getting really depressing.
