By Syazwan Bahri|February 23, 2019|0 Comment
Overwatch League 2019 just started last week with a blast, and now the 2019 Overwatch Contenders Pacific (OWCP) will also return on 28 February (GMT+8) with new contenders from Singapore, Thailand, and Japan.
Aside from the prize, the top team will have the honour to represent the Pacific region to go against the other top players in the Pacific Showdown, a live event that has the heads of Overwatch League scouts turning.
The 2019 Overwatch Contenders Pacific has two phases; the regular season and the playoffs. The regular season will run from 19:00 (GMT+8) on 28 February and it returns every Thursday and Friday for the next seven weeks! Now we have something to look forward to every week!
Meanwhile, the playoffs will be on 18 April, 19 April, and 3 May. All matches will start from 19:00 (GMT+8).
Here are the schedules:
Broadcasts of the plays will be available on the official English Channel and the Mandarin Channel, both via Twitch.
Half of the teams, including Cyclone Coupling, NovaMS Esports, Talon Esports, and Xavier Esports will return to 2019 Overwatch Contenders Pacific Season 1. Hong Kong Attitude will be replaced by KIX, and Incipience will be replaced by fellow Singaporean team Global Esports.
With the two newcomers, Giant Lynx from Thailand and Jupiter from Japan, the eight teams will compete for the ticket to the Pacific Showdown.Â
The full roster can be viewed on the official website.
