Here’s A Summary Of How Borderlands 3 Is Doing Sales-Wise

For those wondering if Gearbox and 2K Games are hurting sales-wise for not selling their game on Steam, well, you’re wrong.

Borderlands 3 is doing just fine and dandy for being a “billion dollar global brand” franchise according to a recent Take Two Interactive presser. Here are the stats:

• The game sold 5 million copies after its first 5 days of launch.
• The game is the highest-selling 2K title on PC, as well as the fastest-selling.
• 70% of the sales were digital.
• It’s also the most pre-ordered 2K title and Epic Games Store title.
• The franchise’s net bookings are now over US$1 billion.

So yeah, people don’t really care which store they buy a hit game from, or about Metacritic reviews, as long as the game is fun and adhere to the series’ core fundamentals of loot and shooting.
