BOKURA: planet, A Cosmic Co-op Puzzle Adventure Lands April 2025

A genre that often flies under the radar, yet holds a special place for gamers, is two-player co-op. Titles like It Takes Two or Bread & Fred shine briefly, but once you’ve rolled credits, the hunt for the next great duo experience begins. Thankfully, the wait is almost over.
Enter BOKURA: planet, a brand-new two-player puzzle adventure game set to launch on PC via Steam on 24 April 2025. Developed by Tokoronyori and published by Kodansha, this cosmic caper offers fresh challenges, creative mechanics, and a dash of playful sabotage. Need a preview? A special demo featuring a standalone story will drop on 16 January, giving you and your partner in crime a sneak peek at the action.
This isn’t just a game—it’s a test of cooperation, communication, and how far you’ll go before shoving your teammate off a ledge. Keep your calendars clear, gamers—your next great co-op adventure is just around the corner.
If you enjoy gaming with a friend and are up for solving puzzles through cooperative chaos, BOKURA: planet might be your next obsession. This action-puzzle adventure requires two players to connect on separate devices, working together to untangle the mysteries of a new, red-hued alien world. However, teamwork isn’t all sunshine and rainbows—this time, a cheeky “push” action lets you accidentally send your partner flying off ledges. Cooperation is essential, but a bit of friendly sabotage adds an edge of playful rivalry.
Humanity’s story has taken a dramatic turn. After Earth’s destruction, survivors clawed their way back to civilisation, eventually venturing into space to explore distant planets. The twist? The first explorers are condemned prisoners sent on a journey spanning centuries.
Disaster strikes when a research ship malfunctions mid-mission, forcing two crew members to crash-land on an uncharted red planet. Each has their own deeply personal reasons for needing to return to Earth. Together, they must navigate the unknown to stand any chance of survival. Can they overcome the odds—or each other?
This isn’t Tokoronyori’s first rodeo in crafting unique gaming experiences. Known for Planet of the Lonely and the original BOKURA—which sold over 600,000 copies globally—the developer is celebrated for blending imaginative storytelling with mechanics that feel tailor-made for the medium.
BOKURA: planet builds upon ideas that Tokoronyori didn’t fully explore in BOKURA. As the creator explains, “I couldn’t shake the thought of what might’ve been, so I decided to create BOKURA: planet. It’s a fresh take, and I’m thrilled with the result.”
Grab a partner, mark your calendars, and prepare to laugh, scream, and strategise your way through Tokoronyori’s latest cosmic caper. Will you be Earth’s last hope—or each other’s biggest hurdle?
