EA Comes Back To Steam, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order First Title Featured
Ever wished you could buy The Sims 4 on Steam? Maybe also play Apex Legends? I’ve got good news for everyone: EA is bringing those titles and more to Steam!
After a few days of teasing the announcement, EA has officially revealed that they will be coming back to selling their games on Steam. There’s no full list of titles yet but The Sims 4, Unravel Two, Apex Legends, FIFA 20, and Battlefield V are some of the games that have been confirmed. The partnership will also introduce EA Access, the first and only gaming subscription on Steam. It’ll probably be similar to Origin Access.

The first EA title to debut from this partnership is none other than the upcoming Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Steam users can start pre-ordering the game today. It’s scheduled to launch on 15 November 2019.
For games with multiplayer such as Apex Legends, FIFA 20, and Battlefield V, it’s stated that players on both Steam and Origin will be able to play with each other. This will definitely expand the player base for those games which is super helpful for live service games like Apex Legends.
For those of you who loathe using the Origin launcher (like me), this is great news. EA’s reluctance to localise and convert the prices of games for Malaysia on Origin is super off-putting. Here’s hoping that more future EA titles will come straight to Steam so that I don’t have to use Origin. Unless EA decides to improve Origin, of course.
