Here’s Why You No Longer Need EXP Share In Pokémon Sword & Shield
By Alleef Ashaari|October 2, 2019|0 Comment
We’re less than two months away from the highly-anticipated release of Pokémon Sword and Shield and with a whole new generation of Pokémon, as well as a bunch of improvements and new features. Long-time fans of the franchise will be delighted to learn that you will no longer require the much-coveted EXP Share item in the upcoming games.
Why?
In previous games, the EXP Share item is crucial to make it easier in increasing the levels of your weaker Pokémon, as it enables any Pokémon holding the item to receive 50 percent (or part) of the experience gained by the Pokémon who participated in the battle.
In an interview with GameInformer, director Shigeru Ohmori revealed that the EXP Share won’t be available in Pokémon Sword and Shield. This is because every single Pokémon in your party will now receive equal amounts of experience from every battle.
This is a game-changing new feature, as it is now much easier and less complicated to ensure that your whole Pokémon party is strong enough and avoid them from becoming too under-levelled. Kudos to the folks at GameFreak.
Pokémon Sword and Shield are slated to release for the Nintendo Switch on 15 November 2019. In the meantime, check out the trailer below.
