Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, one of the toughest-yet-rewarding action titles of 2019, won Game of the Year at this year’s Game Awards produced and hosted by alleged Death Stranding supporter Geoff Keighley.
To which we say “good save”, but let’s not sour the moment.
Sekiro beat out not only Death Stranding, but also Resident Evil 2, Control, The Outer Worlds, and Super Smash Bros. Disco Elysium ends up leading the awards count race with four trophies, with Death Stranding following behind with three awards.
