China League of Legend Pro League Suspended Due To Coronavirus Outbreak
China’s League of Legends pro league, called the LPL, has called off its upcoming week 2 matches due to safety concerns regarding the spread of the ongoing Coronavirus outbreak. Yeah, that’s been happening for the past few days, just thought you should know.
The outbreak originated from Wuhan, China, and has begun to spread to many other cities and even to other countries. There’s no word on how many people are affected at this point of typing, but the LPL organizers are taking the smart route to take precautionary methods. Even if the matches take place in Beijing, LPL isn’t taking any chances.
Official Twitter post below:
“We have decided to postpone week 2 of the LPL until we can ensure the safety and health of our players and fans. To our fans, we sincerely apologize that it has come to this and we will share any and all info as soon as we can.”
