Rockstar Games have announced that Grand Theft Auto Online and Red Dead Online recently experienced another record-breaking holiday season. December 2019 was the largest month ever in terms of player numbers for GTA Online, while GTA V had its biggest year ever for views on YouTube, hitting a new record for engagement via likes and comments.

Meanwhile, Red Dead Online managed to reach a new peak in player numbers in December 2019 following the release of the massive Moonshiners update and topping those numbers yet again in January 2020.

TO celebrate these milestones, Rockstar will be offering huge bonuses in both games. GTA Online will feature bonus cash of up to GTA$2,000,000 in its biggest cash giveaway yet. Starting on 30 January 2020, players can earn GTA$1,000,000 just by playing before 5 February 2020 and they will also be able to earn another GTA$1,000,000 by playing between 6 February and 12 February 2020.

Meanwhile, Red Dead Online players will receive a bunch of gifts as well, including:

• The Gunslinger’s Cache: Those who play RDO between 28 January and 3 February 2020 will obtain a Free Schofield Revolver, a Free Varmint Rifle and the Devastating Ammo Bundle, which includes 100x Split Point Revolver Ammo, 100x High-Velocity Pistol Ammo, 100x Express Repeater Ammo, 100x Slug Shotgun Ammo, and 20x Explosive Rifle Ammo.
• The Bounty Hunter’s Kit: Playing between 4 February and 10 February 2020 will net players a Free Bounty Hunter license, 25x Bolas, and 25x Tracking Arrows.

In addition, Rockstar is teasing what’s to come in 2020. GTA Online will be adding an open-wheel racing series featuring all-new vehicle types with tense and high-speed track-based racing, while Red Dead Online will also continue to grow with the expansion of Frontier Pursuits concept, adding more roles and new missions.
