Arguably the most famous Ghibli film outside Japan, largely because Disney picked it up for dubbing and distribution (via Buena Vista). I actually managed to catch this movie in Malaysian theaters, unfortunately, it was dubbed in English.
It would be good to watch this in the original Japanese audio, as it lends way more nuance and context to the multi-layered themes that were otherwise left out in the Disney dub.
