My personal #1 Ghibli film. Nausicaa is a princess, a warrior, an environmentalist and she leads one of the most epic fantasy stories that has ever been animated on pencil and paper.

The film also features animation work by legendary director Hideaki Anno (yes, the lunatic who created Evangelion), himself an apprentice to Miyazaki back in the day. This film has a lot of meat to sink your teeth into, with some of the most enchanting music in Ghibli’s history.
