Call of Duty’s Free Battle Royale Mode Is Out Tomorrow

After dozens of leaks and rumours, Activision finally dropped official news regarding its battle royale offering using the Call of Duty name.

It’s officially called Call of Duty: Warzone and it’s free-to-play. And it doesn’t require any Call of Duty base game: it’s a standalone you can get tomorrow on 11th March.

Check out the official reveal in action, complete with a classic LL Cool J rap ditty.

This battle royale FPS will have you fighting 149 other players while outrunning a deadly cloud of gas encircling a giant map. Apart from the last man standing mechanic, there’s also another mode in Call of Duty: Warzone called Plunder. In this mode, you search the map for loot and kill players to steal their cash.

The map in question is a new bigass location called Verdansk which stitches together different Call of Duty locations into one big new playground of war. The map features a city, a bunch of forests and mountains, and a bunch of notable landmarks like a lumber yard and a dam.

Oh, and if you own Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, you can play the game 4 hours early before everyone else.

You can get more info from a previous report we did yesterday. And yes, you can stay tuned to our review of the mode on Kakuchopurei, because most of us aren’t sick of battle royales that seem more polished & refined than both PUBG and Fortnite.
