[Rumour] Resident Evil 3 Remake Dev Is Working On An Even Larger Remake Project

The Resident Evil 3 Remake is almost upon us, but it seems like one of the supporting studios who worked on the game is already developing its next major project, which is being described as an even larger Remake project based on a Capcom IP.

As originally reported by VGC, former Platinum Games CEO Tatsuya Minami appears in the credits for the Resident Evil 3 Remake as an executive producer for the game. However, the most interesting thing about that is that Minami is credited under his new studio, M-Two Inc.

While Minami’s M-Two Inc. merely contributed to the development of the Resident Evil 3 Remake, sources from VGC are reporting that the developer is already working on an even larger Remake project for Capcom.

If it does turn out to be true, what Remake project could potentially be ‘larger’ than the Resident Evil 3 Remake? There are multiple answers to that. Some gamers might say that it’s a Dino Crisis Remake or Reboot, while others could even say that it’ll a Resident Evil 4 Remake.

According to Youtuber and Yai Gameworks developer Ryan ‘Dusk Golem’ on Twitter, M-Two Inc.’s mysterious Remake project won’t be Dino Crisis or Resident Evil Code Veronica.

All of this should be taken with a grain of salt for now, as Capcom has yet to announce anything official at the time of writing. Frankly, though, a new Onimusha game would be extremely great, especially with the current obsession for Soulsborne-like titles.

The last mainline title in the franchise was 2006’s Onimusha: Dawn Of Dreams, so it’s definitely long overdue. You could also consider 2019’s Onimusha: Warlords remaster of the first instalment to be the latest title, but I definitely don’t.
