Valorant’s Cypher Tags Enemies & Wears A Fancy Hat

The Valorant Twitter page has uploaded a teaser for Cypher, its Moroccan hero who sports a fancy hat and tags enemies.
The teaser shows off his Trapwire ability, basically a tripwire that reveals enemies rather than blow up, and his Spycam, which can be used for surveillance and can fire a dart that tags enemies. He may have a big, obvious hat, but he makes up for it by making enemies easy to spot too.

Not shown is his Cyber Cage ability, which slows enemies and blocks vision, and his Neural Theft ultimate. The latter is used on a dead enemy to reveal enemy players who are still alive.
Riot previously released teasers for Phoenix, Viper, Sova, Sage, and Jett. What stood out to me after watching those teasers was that Phoenix, Viper, and Sage all seem to have an ability that creates a line-of-sight-blocking barrier. There’s more to them than that of course, but that seems like a lot of line-of-sight-blocking barriers.
I personally don’t feel any hype for Valorant, but the closed beta hit 1.7 million viewers on Twitch a couple of days ago, so there’s clearly an interested crowd for it. The closed beta isn’t available in Southeast Asia at the moment, but Riot will try to bring it to more countries.
