Cyberpunk 2077’s 1.1 Patch May Have A Save-Killing Bug [Update: Not Anymore, Phew!]

Update: It’s been fixed.

Cyberpunk 2077 fans and gamers may rejoice at the many fixes of the new 1.1 update, but not so soon. There’s a new save-killing bug you should be aware of.

This happens at the end of the quest “Down in the Street” where the character Goro Takemura calls the player. There’s a chance that Takemura will call the player and not speak. Worst, reloading an older save does not fix the problem. This bug will affect and halt your game progression since the save will affect once it takes place.

Fortunately, there’s a workaround.

  • First, load a save from before V and Takemura leave Wakako’s office.
  • Once V finishes the conversation with Takemura outside the office and the quest progression updates, immediately skip ahead 23 hours.
  • This should make the call and conversation happen.

Cyberpunk 2077’s 1.1 patch recently came out a few days ago. It fixed a number of things, but of course it did introduce new ones like these.
