Steam Cracks 25 Million Concurrent Users To Celebrate The New Year
Congratulations, Valve.
As of 2nd January 2021, Steam’s all-time peak concurrent connected user count has broken the 25 million mark (via SteamDB). The actual number is 25,415,080.
For reference, 8.1 million gamers were in-game in March 2020. So which games caused this 25 million all-time peak?
2020 is generally a great time for games since everyone’s mostly confined at home with not much to do. Hence, PC games that do not require a high-end desktop or laptop to run like the first three games mentioned. 2021 is probably going to be the same if the COVID-19 situation doesn’t change, so don’t act too shocked if that 25 million count doubles in the next six months.
