The Best Visual Novel Of This Gaming Generation Just Shipped & Sold 200,000 Copies In Japan
It’s a celebration of sorts for developer Vanillaware and publisher Atlus.
13 Sentinels, a critical darling of 2020 that was robbed in The Game Awards last year, has surpassed 200,000 units in Japan in its lifetime. Both companies announced that the game surpassed 400,000 sales worldwide.
Atlus and Vanillaware shared a nifty piece of artwork to celebrate its new milestone.
That’s good news, considering how niche the game is. We gave 13 Sentinels a glowing review for its epic sci-fi plot and storyline, its engaging characters, and pretty fun real-time strategy gameplay. It also boasts an enthralling orchestra-electronica hybrid soundtrack courtesy of Hitoshi Sakimoto and his Basiscape group.
