PlayStation Network Senior Vice President Fired After Appearing In Pedophile Sting Video
A senior member of Sony PlayStation has been terminated from his position after being caught in an amateur paedophilia sting video.
According to a Twitter feed from Tipster, Sony PlayStation Network senior vice president George Cacioppo was caught by a paedophile-hunting group called People v. Preds for allegedly trying to meet with a 15-year old boy for sex.
The Twitter post features a good number of evidence from chat logs featuring graphic text with dick pics (removed of course), to videos of Cacioppo in a PS5 shirt. Cacioppo allegedly spoke with a person who said they were 15 years old on Grindr, a social networking app for gay, bi, trans, and queer people, referring to himself as “Jeff”.
Sony said the following in an email statement (via CNet):
“We are aware of the situation and the employee in question has been terminated from employment.”
According to his LinkedIn profile, Cacioppo has been in his position for the past eight years.
