Horizon Forbidden West is out now for the PS4 and PS5. You can check out my review here. There is a lot of content in the game, including a lot of side activities to go along with the main story. A game as big as this one is bound to feature some hidden secrets in its massive open world, and I discovered one of them; a God Of War (2018) easter egg.

The game has a bunch of different collectibles to collect, but there is one category of collectibles that don’t even pop out in the Notebook menu until you find one of them. The God Of War easter egg wasn’t even marked on the map, and I only stumbled upon it when I passed by a tree and Aloy made a remark about someone leaving their axe stuck in a tree.

I was surprised to hear Aloy make a remark, and I scanned the axe on the tree with Aloy’s Focus. It revealed tracks that led to a shack, which looked suspiciously like the Kratos and Atreus’ house from God Of War. It’s there that I find the hilariously named Totem Of War item, which looks like a wood carving of Kratos.

After discovering the God Of War easter egg, a new category of collectibles popped up in the Notebook menu, revealing that there are actually three War Totems in Horizon Forbidden West. I’ve only managed to find one so far, and that’s the one related to God Of War. I have no idea where to find the other two War Totems because just like the God Of War easter egg, they’re not actually marked on the map, not even a question mark.
