Peacemaker Episode 6 Breakdown & Easter Eggs Explained
By Alleef Ashaari|February 3, 2022|0 Comment
The sixth episode of Peacemaker Season 1 is now streaming on HBO GO and HBO Max. I’ll be discussing heavy spoilers so if you haven’t seen it or want to avoid spoilers, now’s your chance to stop reading.
The series will explore the origins of the character that Cena first portrayed in James Gunn’s 2021 film, The Suicide Squad, which is already currently available on HBO GO. Peacemaker is a compellingly vainglorious man who believes in peace at any cost, no matter how many people he has to kill to get it.
The series also stars Danielle Brooks as Adebayo, Freddie Stroma as Vigilante, Jennifer Holland as Harcourt, Steve Agee as Economos, Chukwudi Iwuji as Murn, and Robert Patrick as Auggie Smith.
In the meantime, you can check out my breakdown of the ending and easter eggs in The Suicide Squad by heading over here.
You can also check out my previous breakdowns of Peacemaker Episode 1, 2 and 3 here, as well as Episode 4 and Episode 5 here.
It turns out that Harcourt already knew since the explosion in Episode 4 that Murn is a butterfly (since he wasn’t hurt by the explosion). However, Murn explains that his people came to Earth because their planet was dying. Their Queen (Goff or Eek Stack Ik Ik) wanted to dominate Earth while others wanted to live on Earth peacefully. Murn reveals that the butterflies kill their hosts when they take over their bodies.
Names like The Flash and Wonder Woman gets thrown around.
We get a glimpse of Peacemaker’s past and it looks like he’s traumatised by the fact that he accidentally killed his own brother. That’s a tragic origin story.
Yep, that happened. And she takes over the whole police department too.
It’s Invasion Of The Body Snatchers up in here.
Peacemaker’s father finally suits up as the White Dragon again.
We only have two episodes left. Until then, excelsior!
