Elden Ring Black Knife Tiche Location Guide, Since Mimic Tear Is Nerfed

The latest Elden Ring update has nerfed a bunch of overpowered weapons and Ashes of War, with one of them being the Mimic Tear summon.

From Software has nerfed the damage health by the mimic as well as alter its behaviour. While you can still use the Mimic Tear as a decoy, it’s not the same. Luckily there’s already a replacement that exists.

The summon we’re talking about is the Black Knife Tiche, and you can get the summon mid-way through the game. The problem? It’s going to be a lot of work.

How To Get Black Knife Tiche

First, you need to complete the majority of Ranni’s questline, which is available about 30% into the game. You need to access the Moonlight Altar Site of Grace, which is only accessible at the end of Ranni’s questline. Here’s a video guide on how to complete that:

Once you’re done and opened up the Moonlight Altar Site of Grace, you need to head northwest to the Ringleader’s Evergaol. Just like with other Evergaol, you’re nearby one if you see a ton of rockworms hanging around. When you arrive, activate the Gaol to head to Alecto, Black Knife Ringleader’s boss room.

Some protips when dealing with Alecto:

  • She’s fast, so be patient when striking her.
  • Bait her AoE attack. When you dodge it, she will be left open so you can attack her.
  • The worst part about this fight is that she’s so fast, your camera cannot keep track and lock onto her for so long.

Once you defeated her, you get the Black Knife Tiche as a reward. Here’s what you’re getting into when using her as a summon:

  • The summon consumes high FP (132).
  • She perform best against single enemies, allowing her to attack more freely.
