Dying Light 2 is a really fun action adventure parkour game featuring zombies and melee combat, but it also has a long story campaign with multiple choice options. As of now, there’s no way to take your high-leveled Aiden and replay the game; you have to start from scratch.
Well, that much-requested feature will finally surface in Dying Light 2. Techland announced that the game’s New Game Plus mode will be out end of April via a big patch 3 according to lead game designer Tymon Smektala:
“Those are definitely things that are on the table currently and that are being worked on. I don’t want to go into too many specifics here… but very soon, people will start seeing those things being added in one form or another into the game.
Survivors, Our team is working hard on patch 3 for DL2 Stay Human. It will be one of the biggest patches we’ve released so far. Apart from many fixes for both multi and single-player mode, it will also introduce a New Game+ mode, giving you more reasons to re-visit The City. We’re planning to release patch 3 on all platforms by the end of this month. Full notes will be available once the update is live.”
Patch 3 will also add in a series of events around mutated infected, with a new story DLC coming in June. All this support is both free and paid DLCs, which is pretty similar to how the first Dying Light worked. Good for Techland!
