Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse Is Delayed To 2023
The return of animated Miles Morales in cinemas will take a lot while longer according to Sony Pictures.
The company announced that Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse, the sequel to the highly acclaimed Spider-Verse film of 2018, will be released in the week of 1st June, 2023. It’s been pushed back 8 months from its 6th October 2022 release period. Sucks, we know.
Good news though: we now know the second part of the Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse film will be out on 29th March 2024. Furthermore, the Spider-Man spin-off film Madame Web by Dakota Johnson will be out on 7 July 2023. That’s around the same period as the upcoming Spider-Verse sequel. According to writer Christopher Miller, the production team needed more time to make Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse great.

Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse will have director Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers, and Justin K. Thompson on board, with the script written by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller. Actors Oscar Isaac, Shameik Moore, and Hailee Steinfeld will be playing Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, and Spider-Gwen respectively.
