Diablo Immortal Delayed To July For Southeast Asia
The free-to-play hunt for demons, loot, and Diablo has been postponed again in Malaysia and other SEA regions.
Originally slated for 23 June, Diablo Immortal’s Southeast Asian launch will be pushed back to 8th July GMT+8. The reason? To improve the download and overall playing experience.
These include the following fixes:
- Initial build package optimisation: Reshuffling the assets downloading sequence so relevant UI would populate properly to improve user experience in-game.
- Android device performance optimisation: The install base of mobile devices in Asia Pacific regions is very diverse. Using learnings from the first phase of our launch, we are performing additional compatibility tests to optimise the launch experience.
- PC experience improvements: Including fixes to potion and skills lockout issues, Auto-Navigation, Demon Hunter primary attack, Xbox controller input delay, and more.
- Performance and network optimisation: Improvements to deferred multi-lighting particle tech, bug fixes, and more.
Blizzard will be offering compensation for the delay with the following rewards:
- 1x Piece of Legendary Gear
- 100 x Scrap Materials
- 10 x Enchanted Dust
Sadly, there isn’t a bonus 3-5 star Legendary Gem; that would have been real generous. For more on Diablo Immortal, here are our guides.
