The Nickelodeon Smash Bros. Clone Is Finally Getting Voice Acting, 8 Months Later

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl is a pretty fun and mechanically-sound platform brawler featuring loads of characters from the Ninja Turtles to Garfield, but it was missing a lot of style and presentation points. The entire cast is mute as you’re playing through the game since its launch in late 2021, meaning the game was devoid of vocal personality.

Thankfully that’s going to be solved, albeit better late than never. The game’s publisher GameMill Entertainment and developer Ludosity and Fair Play Labs announced that the title will get a major free update featuring voice acting and items. Here is the full voice cast list for the game.

Jim Cummings – Shredder, CatDog (Cat)
Tom Kenny – SpongeBob Squarepants, CatDog (Dog)
Bill Fagerbakke – Patrick
Carolyn Lawrence – Sandy
Alex Cazares: Oblina
Jim Meskimen: Nigel Thornberry
Richard Horvitz: Zim
Vivian Vencer: Toph
Dustin Sardella: Aang
Janet Varney: Korra
Fred Tatasciore: Reptar
Bentley Griffin: Lincoln Loud
Jessica DiCicco: Lucy Loud
Francesca Marie Smith: Helga
Townsend Coleman: Michaelangelo
Cam Clarke: Leonardo
Abby Trott: April O’ Neil
Frank Welker: Garfield
Billy West: Ren & Stimpy
David Kaye: Powdered Toast Man
David Kaufman: Danny Phantom
Janice Kawaye: Jenny

Half the cast who did the original voices for these characters are either retired, grown out of their roles (for Aang and Toph), or have passed on (for Garfield, who was originally voiced by Lorenzo Music). Of course, some favourites like Cam Clarke’s Leonardo and Janet Varney’s Korra are reprising their roles, so that’s awesome for fans nonetheless. Hopefully this substantial update is enough to bring people back to the platform fighter, seeing as this is the publisher’s way of countering the mega-budget VO that is spent on its upcoming competitor MultiVersus.
