Dead Or Alive Creator Is Making A Sus NFT Game
By Alleef Ashaari|July 13, 2022|0 Comment
Tomonobu Itagaki has announced that his new studio, Apex Game Studios, is making an NFT game called Warrior. Itagaki is best known for being the creator of the Dead Or Alive fighting game franchise at Team Ninja. The new company will focus on producing “high-quality and immersive 3A Web3.0 games”.
Apex Game Studios currently has over 100 employees who are based mainly in Japan and Singapore. Their debut game, Warrior, will be an NFT game for mobile and PC developed with Unreal Engine.
The press release states:
“The Warrior Project is about to make its initial decentralized exchange offering, or IDO, and release the first Alpha version, and a series of Giveaway events are ongoing in the communities. Itagaki expressed that one of the main characteristics a blockchain game must have to succeed is to be a real game that is fun and attracts attention — precisely what his team wants to achieve with Warrior.”
The beta version of Warrior is planned for release in the first quarter of 2023.
It seems like almost every company in the video games industry is currently evaluating going into NFTs or the Metaverse. According to statistics provided by Newzoo, adoption of NFTs will only continue to increase in the near future.
